Google has a pretty good start, but it will be interesting to see if they add some of the features MeeboMe (http://www.meebo.com) is lacking. Hab.la (http://www.hab.la ) is another good comparison point, as it works with all Jabber clients like iChat, Meebo, Pidgin, Adium, and Spark.
I guess the real question is, will these widgets take business away from companies like live person? Personally, I don't see 'real' businesses moving to Gtalk widgets anytime soon.
